Natchez Clay is a ceramic teaching studio located in beautiful Natchez, Mississippi. Our studio was founded by internationally known clay artist, Conner Burns, in 2003 and has produced a community of clay artists active in local, regional and national events. In 2008, owners Donna Jones and Jacque Stahlman purchased Natchez Clay and moved the studios to its current location on the bluffs overlooking the Mississippi River.
We welcome both the experienced potter and the novice just beginning to explore their creativity with clay. Our mission is to create a fun studio environment where potters come not only to learn but to share. We hope to provide a place for members to enjoy their passion for clay as they share ideas, methods and fellowship.
Community involvement is important to our members and provides an opportunity for them to use their talents to benefit others. By offering workshops by both regionalyl and nationally known clay artists, we hope to foster continued growth in our members. Our plan is for Natchez Clay to continue to be a prime example of how the arts can thrive in our community.
