Beginner Wheel-throwing Class MORNING CLASS! - 8 week session
Monday Mornings 9:30 til noon
Have you always wanted to throw on a potter's wheel but never had an opportunity? Have you taken a pottery class before but feel you need a refresher class? Classes begin with a demonstration followed by time for students to work on their own under the instructor's guidance. This class will help develop centering and throwing skills, basic handbuilding skills, glazing and decorating techniques as well as emphasize the importance of safety in the studio.
Instructor:

Fee: $240 (1/2 price for shared studio members)
First time students will need to purchase a tool kit from the studio for $30


Handbuilding Class - Taking a break until June!
We're giving Nathalie a break until June. She'll be busy presenting for the "Mom and Me" workshops on the 2nd Saturday of each month - April thru June. The June class will be a morning session.

Intermediate Wheel-throwing Class-5 week session
Tuesday evenings 6:00 - 8:30
This class focuses on making a series of work to develop skills to create specific forms. This session will include pitchers - experimenting with different sizes, shapes and handles, etc. This session will be followed by a few weeks off...then we'll start the lidded vessel session which will finish with making matching sugar/creamer sets.

Instructors: Mary Baugh
Fee: $150 (1/2 price for shared studio members)


About our classes
Currently Natchez Clay provides Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer sessions. Class fees include one bag of clay, glaze and firing coupons for 20 pieces of work made during the class. Classes are one day each week for 2-1/2 hours with 4 hours of open studio time on Saturdays for extra practice.

About our Workshops
Natchez Clay provides periodic workshops with local, regional and nationally known clay artists. Past workshop presenters include Conner Burns, Nick Joerling, Matt Long, Jed Schlegel, Danny Meisinger and Cathy Broski, among others. Workshops range from one-day sessions week-long participation workshops each summer.
