Pottery Classes at Natchez Clay
Beginning the week of January 9
We have a class for everyone coming up. Have you always wanted to try making pottery on the potters wheel? Check out our Beginning Wheel Throwing class. If you think your hands aren't strong enough or maybe have some arthritis you think will hold you back? Try the Hand Building Class. Did you have a pottery class earlier and you want to practice or learn some new forms? Try our Intermediate Skills Class.
Beginning wheel throwing - Monday nights 6:00 - 8:30 PM
for 10 weeks starting January 9
Learn to center clay on the wheel and throw small cylinders, bowls, vases and cups. No experience required. Learn to center clay on the wheel and throw small cylinders and bowls. This class is also great for novices needing to reinforce basic skills. You also have Saturdays from 1:00 - 5:00 PM to come in and practice! (Other day worked out for students who can't come on Saturdays.) Cost of 10-week class session - $300 - includes bag of clay, glazes and firing of your work. Beginners will need to purchase $30 tool kit. Deposit required.
Installment plan available, if needed.

Hand Building Class - Tuesday nights (6:00 - 8:30 PM)
This is a great class for anyone who wants to make something with their hands. If you can follow directions, you can make a great project each night. Vases, bird houses, beautiful trays, and more! Nathalie has great projects planned for this session! Come join the fun!
Instructor: Nathalie Harris / Fee: $180 - deposit required
Intermediate Class - Starting day to be announced (6:00 - 8:30 PM) beginning week of January 9

About our classes
Currently Natchez Clay provides Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer sessions. Class fees include one bag of clay, glaze and firing coupons for 20 pieces of work made during the class. Classes are one day each week for 2-1/2 hours with 4 hours of open studio time on Saturdays for extra practice.
