Empty Bowls Raises over $10,000

Our February Empty Bowls Sale raised more than $10,000 for the Natchez Community Stewpot. We were blessed with beautiful weather that drew over 240 people to the grounds of Natchez Clay to enjoy some delicious gumbo while overlooking the river.

Local potters donated over 300 bowls for participants to choose from. It was quite impressive to see them all displayed. Thanks to all the potters who worked so hard to get the bowls made in time for the event. They were beautiful.

A special thanks to Johnny Hicks and Benny Jeansonne for the delicious gumbo. Thanks also to everyone who donated a piece for the silent auction or raffle and to Robert Rasberry for supplying us with some great music that day. And thanks to everyone who purchased a ticket and came out to enjoy the beautiful day with us. Natchez Clay and everyone at the Community Stewpot appreciate you!
