Studio Membership
There are many ways to be a part of Natchez Clay's community of clay artists.
Private Parties
Schedule a party to play with clay with your own group of friends. Parties are great for both children and adults. Projects are geared toward the appropriate age group. Ladies-Night-Out parties are frequently held on Thursday nights for your party of 5 or more. Saturday one-day events may be scheduled for your group as well. We do our best to accommodate a schedule that works for you. We are happy to provide space for you to serve your own food and drink.Workshop or "Pay-as-You-Go" Class Attendee
Workshops are one- or two-day events at our studio with in-house or invited guest artists. "Pay-As-You-Go" Hand-Building Classes require no commitment. They run for 8 to 10 weeks and you pay only for the classes you attend.
Class Member
Class members attend 8 to 10-week class sessions. Classes are one day each week for 2-1/2 hours. Class members are also allowed Open Studio Time on Saturdays for 4 hours for extra studio practice. Instructors are often on hand at Open Studio Time to answer questions. For more information about classes see Classes and Workshops.
Shared Studio Member
Frequently members want a more flexible schedule for their studio time. Shared studio members are given the access code to the studio and are allowed to work in the studio whenever they wish. The shared studio is spacious and well lighted and includes wheels, large work tables covered with Hardi backer board, wedging table, glazing area and storage shelving. Shared studio members that are not class members purchase a Firing Package to fire their work at the studio.
Shared studio fees vary according to your contract commitment:
Three-month contract - $135/month
One-year contract - $115/month

Private Studio Member
Private studios are approximately 100 sq. ft. of well-lighted space separate from the shared studio area and may be locked, if desired. Private studio members may use their own wheel or rent one from NC. Each private studio is provided with a large shelving unit with removable ware boards and a six foot work table with Hardi backer board covering. Studio rental includes utilities and use of all common studio facilities. Studio members have 24 hour access to the studio.
